An £87 million investment proposal has been put forward for AFC Wimbledon.
A company has proposed investing at least £87 million in AFC Wimbledon over a five-year period.
English club AFC Wimbledon has published details of an investment proposal by Sloane Street Capital, according to the specialised sports economics platform. The proposal, as outlined by the club, includes an initial payment of £16 million for a 34.7% stake, followed by an additional £71 million injection over five seasons, from 2026/27 to 2030/31.
Under the proposed plan, £8 million of the initial £16 million will be allocated to football operations and infrastructure. The remaining £8 million, overseen by the board and within the agreement's framework, could be directed towards commercial development, infrastructure, club operations, or debt reduction.
The proposal is not yet finalised. Members of Dons Trust must vote on the allocation of new shares. Online voting is open until November 17, with an extraordinary general meeting scheduled for November 10. The proposed structure aims to maintain fan voting control and certain supervisory rights, as outlined in the announced mechanism.
