Newcastle has signed a multi-year deal with champagne brand Taittinger.
Newcastle United is partnering with Tynethinker to develop exclusive hospitality services and commercialise the race day experience.
Newcastle United Football Club has announced a multi-year partnership with French champagne producer Taittinger, according to the sports economics platform SportsEconomics.ir. The club said the brand would become Newcastle’s official champagne partner, with its products available in premium areas of St James’ Park, including hospitality suites and private boxes.
The deal follows a £10 million investment by the club in upgrading the stadium’s hospitality services over the summer. The financial terms of the new contract have not been disclosed by either party.
From a commercial perspective, the deal highlights that football clubs’ revenue streams go beyond ticket sales, shirt sponsorship and broadcasting rights. Premium hospitality services can generate additional income per visitor through the sale of special packages, catering, exclusive events and corporate client engagement.
For brands, a stadium presence offers an opportunity to connect with audiences who are willing to pay for an experience that goes beyond watching a match. The true value of such an agreement depends on factors such as the level of service usage, the number of special events, the sale of hospitality packages and the ability to convert corporate clients into repeat customers.
As the contract value has not been disclosed, it is not yet possible to calculate the contribution of this partnership to the club’s revenue. However, its alignment with investment in hospitality infrastructure suggests an effort to transform the stadium into an active commercial asset both on match days and beyond.
